Situated in a 100-year-old property and former diving school, this hotel and beach club is just a 30 minute drive to the quaint village of Les Goudes, a district tucked away in the Calanques National Park. With a menu of well-sourced local fish and vegetables, don’t miss the tuna sashimi or lentil salad, with painting-like views from the restaurant window overlooking the sea.
La Cantinella knows good Italian, period. Why we rate it? The incredible selection of daily specials, the quick and friendly service, and the secret oasis setting in the middle of this chaotic city. A beautiful find, this is a spot to try every dish you can - it doesn’t disappoint.
Nestled within a slower part of the city, Cécile Food Club is the new cafe to know. Founded earlier this year by iconic supermodel Erin Wasson and her husband Barth Tassy, Cécile offers a little bit of something for everyone in a relaxed, minimalist setting that you simply won’t want to leave. Un café s’il vous plaît.
La Bonne Mere Pizzeria captures the essence of both Italian and Provencal flavors, offering a cozy spot up a steep hill towards the Notre Dame de la Garde. Take a drink outside by the barrels before heading in, then expect crispy thin pizzas (may we recommend the “La Biquette” pictured) and really great service.
A must for all design aficionados, Le Corbusier's 1952 “Unité d'Habitation" project is an innovative example of modernist architecture in the heart of Marseille. Designed to be used by multiple families, the structure features bold usages of concrete and primary colours.
